New York has been named the best city in the USA for singles and finding love. According to a recent article on BrisbaneTimes.com.au, there are more singles registered on online dating sites in New York, than any other city in the USA.
So who's been to New York, or any other city in the USA? How do you think singles compare here in Australia? Which Aussie city or town do you think would win the race for top singles?

It seems the question that has been pondered on the blogs for some time is: "Can you remain friends with your ex?" You brought it up and have developed a discussion around it many many times, so here is your opportunity to share your ideas on these fiddly friendships. Some of these friendships are loaded with sexual tension, some harbor a painstaking unrequited love, and some of them emerge because an actual romantic relationship never really took off.
Either way, some of you strongly believe it is NOT a possible notion to remain friends with an ex, whilst others happily keep their exes tightly knitted into their circle of friends. Whilst of course, it is all circumstantial, generally speaking, do you befriend the ex or is it all or nothing for you? Do you think these friendships can get messy? Have you found that the friendship is conditional? Have you introduced a new partner to your amigo who happens to be your ex? How did that go?

It's important that your kids get along with your date, right? That's why single parents should ensure the time is right when introducing children to that special someone.
When do you think that 'right time' is? Second date too soon? Perhaps it depends on how old your kids are or whether or not they are living with you. Is it easier if your date has kids of his or her own?
What makes a good meeting? Perhaps it's pizza or dinner at your place, maybe it's an outing like a walk in the park or down to the local ice creamery.
Share your experiences good or bad of when you introduced your kids to a date.

People are putting their hearts on the line, their pride on the shelf and their heads in the clouds to contend in some pretty outrageous competitions with huge cash prizes at stake, and in this particular case, the heart of the 'prize' person. Why do you think shows like "Farmer Wants a Wife" have such a huge following? Do you think people identify and find comfort in knowing that they're not alone in the singles battlefield? Is love really a competition of 'who dares wins'? Do you have to literally fight your way into the arms of the right individual?
Are you up against a bunch of other singles on every date you go on? If you put your entire love life on film and pressed fast forward, would it look a little something like a game show where the contestants have said and tried different things to win you over? Are we all that Farmer looking for love, except on TV, the Farmer hasn't had the luxury of casting their contestants? Do you think your dating life would have been easier if your matches had been cast for you?
