Social Golfers

golfers.jpg Golf is a very social game. It is a great way to get to know someone and can create many laughs in the process. It's also a popular choice for a weekend getaway or a romantic escape. Have you been on a golf date? Have you had a team building golf day for work? Have you rounded up the gang and taken off on a golf trip? Golf makes such a great game for groups. The slow paced methodical nature of the game makes it easy enough to hold a great conversation with a friend or a potential business partner (or other potential partners!).

Many a business deal has had its start on the course. Heard of any partnerships that began on a golf course? Any deals, of any kind initiated at a put-put game? It could be because it's one of the only games that you can drink beer all day and still have a good time playing, whilst maintaining a fair grip on your technique. Try having a beverage while playing a game of football! Unlikely.

How does your Garden grow?

flora.jpg So you've discussed growing your own food. What else do you like to rear in your humble (or large) garden? Are you for flora such as roses, orchids, or pretty flower beds? Or are you more for the leafy greens and shrubbery? If you're a self-proclaimed gardener, here is your space to share your joy, share some tips and perhaps even vent or ask fellow garden-o-holics about how to fight pests, diseases and unwelcome predators from threatening your luscious backyard?

Have you gardened much during the summer? Maybe you're not a gardener at all, but you'd like to try your hand at some pruning or trimming and don't know where to begin? Do you know which plants suit your environment? Do you have a small space for a garden or are you confined to keeping most of your planting indoors? Are you an organic gardener, or are you ok with pesticides and the like? Tell us how your garden grows!

Phew, Valentines Day is OVER!

valentines.jpg Is it fair to say that all year round, being single is much more fun and exciting than being single on Valentines Day? How did you spend your Valentines Day? Did you get out and hit up the big Singles bashes and party with other singles? Did you stay at home and watch soppy flicks teamed with Ice-cream and a rendition of "All By Myself" - Bridget Jones style? Or did you have a hot date?

Did you have a special someone who spoiled you rotten with a showering of gifts and an embarrassing display of flowers and candy? Did you go on with your day as if it were any other and not spare even a thought for all those tacky oversized teddy bears and fuzzy red love hearts floating around? Do you care for Valentines day at all, or could you care less? What is your take on the whole thing? Tell us about your 2009 Valentines Day and how you spent it (or didn’t spend it)!

Sing Star?

singstars.jpg So you're at a party, a Karaoke hot-spot, or at home playing a 'friendly' game of Sing Star and it's your turn - what song is your weapon of choice? This does not necessarily mean you belt it with poise or in key for that matter - but think of the song that truly sings to you. The one that you always look for on that Karaoke list? The one you grab the microphone for on a not-so-composed night out with friends?

What's the song that earns you the winning title on the famously popular PlayStation game? How about the song you belt out in your car before getting caught out by the driver next to you? Everyone has a rock star within - though some like to parade it more than others. Let your rock star out of the closet and reveal your favourite tunes to sing along to!

The Honeymoon Period

honeymooners.jpg No, I'm not talking about the actual honeymoon, a vacation taken by newly weds. I'm talking about any new relationship when it's in its initial period of harmony and bliss. From experience, how long does your honeymoon period last in a relationship? How long do things maintain something of a sugarcoated nature? What is it that finally triggers raw, unvarnished reality?

Reality isn't necessarily bad if you and the significant other are compatible - it's simply when you get more 'real' with someone and the nirvana you initially experienced is toned down. Obviously the paradise ends when you realize you just don't get along, but how about when you really do and everything is great? Ever experienced a case of permanent honeymoon stage? Highly unlikely, but we'd be intrigued to hear about it!
