[If you have a question for support please visit our contact us page.]
Most of you have said that we should provide immediate assistance when it comes to getting a photo up - we agree, and we'd like to start things off by telling you what your options are to get the ball rolling.

Firstly all member photos need to be processed manually by Support staff so that it complies with our terms and conditions and our photo guidelines so make sure your photo is within those boundaries (you won't believe some of the stuff we've had to reject).
Secondly here's how you can get the photos to us for it to be processed:
1. Uploading it directly to your Profile (generally takes 12 - 24 hours to process)
2. Send us your photo via mobile MMS (generally takes 12 - 48 hours to process)
3. Email us your photo (generally takes 12 - 48 hours to process)
4. Send us your photo by POST (risky and generally takes about 5 - 7 working days to process)
Any Questions?

I just DO NOT understand why I cant change my profile pic to one i uploaded into my gallery afterwards. Honestly...what the hell is going on. IT MAKES NO SENSE!!!

Why not list the ideal photo resolution to upload images at. As the current system resizes image over a certain size and can make them look crappy.

iceprincess
you have just raisede a good point.
i have seen full body shots of women with their legs open starring straight at me and yet everytime I have sent something in(bar one) where the flesh on the legs are shown it has been cropped.
i think it depends on which frisby is rostered on .

"We DO NOT allow blurred, grainy photos or other poor quality photos which do not enhance the profile" (from photo guidelines - I have seen some seriously blurry profile pics. Can you please explain why they are allowed - they're not helping anyone. thanks

crop, dont crop, what the heck is wrong with average???????
Posted by: lyn at June 26, 2007 9:25 PM
Hi,
Just a comment about the cropping. I have just about given up submitting photos because they are cropped so closely. I have a few close up photos but in the past have tried to put in photos that show my body shape as well as that seems to matter to a lot of guys. I would consider myself in reasonable shape and I have heard that guys stay away from women who tick "average" because they think they are fat. I tick average because I think if I tick slim or athletic they will expect a supermodel, but I am certainly not fat. If I was looking at my profile I would think "OMG please step back from the camera." I am starting to look like just a head. I have left notes not to crop them so close but you still do, why ask for people's comments and then ignore a request not to crop so close?

I also would like to comment about the changing of a Gallery photo to a primary photo. If you could somehow flag gallery photos that would be automatically accepted as primary photos, i think many people would appreciate this. It would save you guys a lot of work too in only having to approve the photo once. Additionally, perhaps only allowing members to do this once every month or something similar would still fall within your current rules?!?!

I'm a brand new member, and trying to get a primary picture up as we speak. There is no confirmation of submission or any obvious way of knowing what or how many photos are pending approval etc. I think it would be well worth adding a "photos pending approval" folder or similar, to eliminate confusion.
Another point: what exactly does ".jpg, under 1MB and 160-280px" mean? do you only want photos of 160 x 280px size, or photos with any dimensions between 160 and 280px?
Just a bit confusing for us noobs, thats all.
The interface is reasonably tidy, but the photo section could definitely do with a more intuitive and practical layout.
Keep up the good work! and let me know if my photo is pending or not! Cheers,
Adam.
[CS: as a general rule one side should be 300 pixels and the other must not be less than 160 pixels. We do alot of cropping and resizing at the backend but we can only work with what's given. Also it takes between 12-24 hours to process and we keep in touch with you via email on the status - the suggestions have been noted though..]

I agree with the above few comments.I've been attempting to swap my primary photo with one of my gallery photos, but because I have uploaded five gallery photos in the last three months if I delete one of them to change my primary photo to a gallery I will be charged a stamp. There really should be a fair way around this.As mentioned,we can swap our gallery photo positions up and down whenever and however we please, and change our profile, but to simply swap two photos I am most likely going to be charged a stamp(and am not very impressed about it!) I definately agree with b and ClassicNot Plastic, and think that if you could bring in a system where you flag gallery photos that are acceptable to be used as primary photos it would not only be easier for the customer, but a lot fairer.I look forward to this problem hopefully being rectified.Cheers, and good luck to everyone out there(totally off the topic I know!) :)

Ditto the above. Being a newbie I originally posted one photo. I've since found another and would like to swap the primary and gallery. Surely your system could flag these changes and YOU check them when convenient, but still allowing the CUSTOMER to rearrange as required. After all, we can change our profile at will.

Just some thoughts on moving a gallery photo to primary.
If primary photo guidelines are stricter than gallery photo guidelines, you could perhaps flag those photos in the gallery that are appropriate for primary and allow us to move one of those only.
Or alternatively, allow us to submit a gallery photo for primary (with a simple click) but still manually verify it.

Re: Photos, can I move a gallery photo to the main photo or vice versa without going thru you or asking the RSVP support?...I can delete or move a gallery photo, can I do the same thing with the main photo?
[CS: As above, you can freely move to secondary but changing a primary requires manual approval.]
Posted by: iamlovable at May 14, 2007 9:14 AM
I've got a few good photos on my gallery that have been approved, I've bought heaps of stamps and I'm a RSVIP member.
So I'm disappointed that I can't seem to switch one of my gallery photos to my main photo without having to go through the whole approval process.
Why create more work for yourselves?
[CS: The rules governing a primary photo are stricter than that for the gallery, hence the ability to move a primary to a secondary in one click, whereas it requires manual approval the other way around. A primary photo needs to be a face shot, while the gallery is more for people wanting to show action shots etc.]

Why when sending a full length photo shot do you have to crop it of at the waist? I tried twice to put 1 on and twice you cropped it
[CS: It often depends what's showing below the waist...! Seriously, though, if we just get the one shot of you to process, we usually crop to a head and torso as per the photo guidelines for primary photos.]

"you won't believe some of the stuff we've had to reject"
Oh come on, you can't say that and then fail to elaborate. :D
[CS: Oh yes we can... ;-)]
